Managing the Single Implant in the Aesthetic Zone

Dr Francesco Mintrone

Discover the future of implant dentistry in our upcoming webinar on managing single implants in the aesthetic zone. Guided by the Ideal Future Free Gingival Margin (IFFGM) concept, you’ll learn biologically driven planning strategies that respect soft tissue architecture and ensure lasting esthetic results. From advanced techniques like the Socket Shield Technique (SST) to Immediate Implant Placement (IIP), we’ll explore solutions for varying ridge conditions, master soft tissue management, and apply key principles such as the Biological Room and Restorative Room. The session wraps up with the latest prosthetic techniques and material choices for achieving flawless integration in the most demanding esthetic cases.

Learning Objectives:

  • The IFFGM (Ideal Future Free Gingival Margin) is a predictive planning tool that guides ideal implant positioning by integrating soft tissue esthetics with biological principles.
  • The choice of surgical technique (SST, IIP, etc.) must be based on anatomical preconditions and risk assessment, particularly regarding buccal volume preservation.
  • Long-term esthetic stability depends on the correct management of soft tissues, with an emphasis on preserving and respecting the Biological Room.

The Clear Aligner Opportunity - Diagnose Better, Treat Smarter, Collaborate Stronger

Dr Sean Holliday

In today's dental landscape, clear aligner therapy is more than a cosmetic add-on—it's a pathway to long-term oral health, interdisciplinary care, and practice transformation. This course empowers general dentists to move from reactive treatment to proactive diagnosis by building clinical skills in clear aligner therapy and understanding their role within a collaborative orthodontic model.

You'll learn how to confidently diagnose malocclusion, select and manage straightforward aligner cases, and implement systems that integrate orthodontic thinking into everyday care. We'll cover real-world treatment workflows, troubleshooting, and communication strategies for patients and teams. Most importantly, we'll explore how to define the boundaries of your aligner practice and establish strong referral partnerships with orthodontists—transforming case selection into a win-win for the general practitioner, the specialist, and the patient.

Learning Objectives:

  • Diagnose and identify clinical criteria for successful clear aligner cases suitable for general practice.
  • Plan and manage simple to intermediate clear aligner cases with predictable workflows and team engagement.
  • Develop sustainable orthodontic partnership frameworks that optimize patient outcomes and create collaborative referral relationships through strategic case triage.

About Dr Sean Holliday

Dr Sean Holliday earned his dental degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his orthodontic certification and master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr Holliday is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a published author, and a public lecturer.
