How does Invisalign work?
Rather than using metal brackets or wires, Invisalign consists of clear plastic aligners which are virtually invisible. Made from medical grade and BPA-free clear thermoplastic, the aligners are placed over the teeth like a thin sports mouthguard and changed every two weeks, moving your teeth into a slightly different position each time. Each set of aligners is fully customised to fit your teeth using the latest 3D technology.
When you visit us we will take digital impressions of your teeth with the iTero digital scanner. After we have created your treatment plan from these digital impressions, your first set of aligners will be produced. You must wear your aligners at all times (except when eating and drinking) in order to complete your treatment in the time determined by your orthodontist in your initial consultation.
You will need to go and see your orthodontist for regular check-ups to monitor your progress and receive your next set of aligners.
"Invisalign aligners are a registered medical device, you should always read and follow the label and the instructions of your treating orthodontist."
